The circle number Pi (π) defines the ratio of circumference to diameter. Pi is fascinating and unique, possessing great cultural as well as historical significance, while still offering endless possibilities for our brand. To derive our brand name, we scrabbled together and converted the first four digits of Pi into letters:

Our four pillars of sustainability
We at MAVO believe wholeheartedly in the topic of sustainability and therefore decided a long time ago to align our entire company sustainably and to convert it step by step to this end. Not only in the ecological sense, but both in the company with each other and with our guests. And we also rely on your assistance as a guest, because we can only achieve true sustainability together.
We are aware that this is a permanent process of change and that we will not achieve our high goals overnight, but we are 100% committed to this path and will follow it without any ifs or buts.
We seek certifications for our sustainable projects in order to be a role model for a sustainable hospitality concept.
Ecology
Our long-term goal is to implement a stringent energy, waste and water concept and strive for a 100 percent cycle (cradle-to-cradle) in new construction, renovation or room furnishing. For room amenities and soaps we use fair trade products.
In the future, we will offer our guests a “Sustainability Primer” with many tips and suggestions on the subject of sustainability. To support our neighborhood locally as well, we partner with sustainable restaurants, e-bike providers or car sharing companies.

AddressThe work-life balance of our employees is a high priority for us and we support this with various offers, including on the issues of transport and health.
Likewise, we want a personal, authentic, open and honest communication with our customers and want to present sustainable service & highest quality, not only with a smile at the check-in.
