We have won GOLD: “Efficiency Award Building and Modernization 2018” of the State of Baden-Württemberg
–
On Tuesday, 11 December 2018, the Minister of the Environment, Mr Franz Untersteller, awarded us the “Building and Modernisation 2018” Efficiency Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg. Our company headquarters at Berliner Straße 29 in Esslingen was awarded GOLD. We say thank you.
Characteristic values:
Primary energy demand: 22.00 kWh/(m2a)
Final energy demand: 12.20 kWh/(m2a)
Transmission heat loss: 0.340 W/m2
Construction costs: 1,632 euros/m2 gross floor area
In this object, the experimental, innovative energy concept is to be positively emphasized. The property is heated and cooled by a ground-coupled heat pump, which is supported by a 120 square meter solar thermal system. The heat generated during the cooling of the building is temporarily stored in the ground to provide domestic hot water and heating. Hot water is heated decentrally in small wall-mounted storage tanks within the apartments.
Thanks to these technical measures and the comparatively most efficient building envelope, the property can boast the best energy characteristics within the category and thus the most efficient energy standard KfW Effizienzhaus 55.
Extensive renovation work was carried out on the building. As a result, the floor plans were lavishly converted into 1-2 room flats. The redesign into smaller housing units takes into account demographic change and is therefore viewed positively.
The extensive conversion measures, the complex technology and the new extension explain the comparatively high building costs in euros/square meter. Due to its inner-city and prominent location, the property was also subject to higher quality standards.
